        South Sider Heated Up Over Cooler
        A south side woman complained to the circuit court Monday that a neighbor's air conditioner was ruining her health.
        Mrs. Catherine A. Piemeisel, 1238 S. 30th st., brought the suit against Felix Husarzewski, 55, of 1232 S. 30th st.
        Mrs. Piemeisel said her home and that of Husarzewski were about six feet apart. About June 1, 1964, she said, Husarzewski installed an air conditioner near her bedroom window.
        Ever since, in hot weather, day or night the air conditioner has been operated in "a loud, rackety, noisy and disturbing manner," the suit said.
        Mrs. Piemeisel, who contended that the machine kept her awake, asked the court to order her neighbot to remove the air conditioner and award her $500 in damages. Husarzewski could not be reached for comment.
        Asked to comment, Husarzewski siad he needed the air conditioner for a daught, 22, who was afflicted with asthma.

        Judge Will Study Noise Of Device
        Circuit Judge Ronold A. Drechsler said Monday he will visit the home of a south side woman Thursday or Friday night to determine how noisy her neighbor's air conditioner is.
        Mrs. Catherine A. Piemeisel, 1238 S 30th st., has asked the court to restrain Felisks Husarzewski, 1232 S 30th st., from using his air conditioner in "a loud, rackety, noisy and disturbing manner." The two houses are six feet apart.
        Mrs. Piemeisel claims the air conditioner makes it difficult for her to sleep and in injurious to her health. She is asking $500 in damages.
        Mrs. Piemeisel asked Monday that a temporary restraining order be granted until her suit seeking a permanent ban on use of the air conditioner is heard.
        Husarzewski Monday filed a counterclaim, contending that Mrs. Piemeisel constantly has harassed him and made :false, fraudulent and slanderous statements" about him which damaged his reputation. He asks $5,000 in damages.
        Husarzewski has said he needed the air conditioner for a daughter, 22, who has asthma.

        Court Hears Hassle Over Air Cooler
        The case of Felix Husarzewski's noisy air conditioner began in circuit court Thursday.
        Circuit Judge Ronold A. Drechsler told Husarzewski, 55, or 1232 S. 30th st., that he could continue temporarily to operate the air conditioner on lower, quieter settings pending a trial of the case.
        Husarzewski's neighbor, Mrs. catherine A. Piemeisel, 1238 S. 30th st., had asked the judge to silence the cooler forever. She siad it was so close to her bedroom window that it kept her awake nights and was ruining her health.
        The air conditioner was needed because the daughter had asthma, Husarzewski said. He filed a $5,000 countersuit against Mrs. Piemeisel, alleging that she had constatnly harassed him and had made false and slanderous statements about him.

        Financial assistance came unexpectedly in 1974 when parishioner Catherine Piemeisel died and left her entire estate, $637,454, to St. Lawrence Parish. A sum of this size made quite a difference in the parish books. Fr. Wish printed a special bulletin supplement which outlined the amount of the bequest and the ways is would be used by the parish. Thanks to Miss Piemeisel, Fr. Wish was able to preside over that joyful American tradition: buring the mortgage papers.

        Because of that bequest, St. Lawrence has been able to operate "in the black" ever since. Also because of that bequest, Fr. Wish was able to earmark $50,000 to renovate the school. This included new linoleum, new water coolers and drapes and repairs on the windows. The entire school was painted as well. This new look heartened the faculy and their pupils.

        St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1434 S. Layton Blvd., has been bequesthed most of an estate valued at $637,454, according to Probate Court records.
        The bequest was made by Miss Catherine A. Piemeisel, 74, of 1238 S. 30th St. She died April 5, 1973.
        Most of the estate was in real estate holdings, the records show.
