From Evelyn Beran family tree:
Ann Mills says that the Rychecky name is spelled "Rychetsky" in the official church records of Opatov. The family was wealthy when they lived in the Opatov area, but Vaclav "drank up the family fortune." The family moved to the Libusin area near Prague, where he worked for a farmer tending his cattle until the family came to America. The landlord and his family lived in the left side of the house, and the Vaclav Rychecky family lived in one room on the right side of the house. Vaclav was responsible for about 75 cows. In America he farmed. He became an American citizen 10 June 1909 and his wife automatically became an American citizen at the same time. They had ten children, born 1868-1892+ in Vyskytna, Bohemia, according to daughter Bessie Fuchs. Vaclav lived with daughter Terezie and Jim Brydl in his old age, and was living with Bessie and Emil Fuchs when he died.
