      • Maureen Brydges, 82, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11th, 2009, at United Hospital System-Kenosha campus.
        Maureen was born in Ashland, WI, on November 6, 1926, the daughter of the late George and Kathryn (Schramm) Vomastek. In 1947, she graduated from St. Therese Hospital School of Nursing in Waukegan, IL.
        On November 25, 1948, she married Donald C. Brydges at St. Sebastian’s Catholic Church in Bessemer, MI, and they moved to Kenosha to make their home. He passed away January 23, 1988.
        Maureen had been a registered nurse at both Kenosha Memorial Hospital and St. Catherine’s Hospitals in Kenosha.
        Surviving are a son, William J. (Virginia) Brydges of Kenosha; two daughters, Susan K. Brydges and Jane M. (Richard) Hoftiezer, both of Kenosha; four grandchildren, Joseph Brydges, Natalle Brydges, David (Terra) Parsons and Elizabeth Parsons; and her two great-grandchildren, Jaydon and Ty Parsons.
        A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 15th, at St. Therese Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to be private at All Saints Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Therese Catholic Church, The American Red Cross or Every Child’s Place would be appreciated by the family.
